MAY DAY PARADE - May 11, 2013

We have participated in the Port Coquitlam May Day Parade in the past but this one was special.  This was the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and we wanted to share in the celebration by entering a float in the parade.  After months of preparation, the big day came and we were ready.  Below are images of our participation in the event - and what a success it was!

Society members came together and pooled their talents and material to make this float happen.

The four members who conceived of and created the parade float are Roy, Cliff, Isaac and Bill.

Thanks to Andy for video recording our parade entry.

Flags at the ready, members wait, patiently, for the start of the parade.

Time to follow the banner to the crowds that await in downtown Port Coquitlam.

Terry shows off his storm drain marking kit.

Many thanks to PSF for supporting our parade entry.  We would have a hard time putting on our Community education programs and hatchery without the support of organizations such as PSF.
